BIAMP introduces daVinci™ control screen software for AUDIA® and NEXIA

Soon to be available with Biamp® Audia® and Nexia TM systems, daVinci is an extensive control screen software package allowing integrators to create functional control interfaces without changing any of the existing, underlying audio design.

"daVinci gives users the added ability to simplify and customize what we feel are two of the most user-friendly products available: Audia and Nexia," said Matt Czyzewski, Vice President of Technical Operations, Biamp Systems. "While the software itself will be added to the Audia and Nexia software CDs, daVinci is a stand alone program that operates independently."

daVinci offers enhanced flexibility and graphical sophistication that allows users to give creative life to their dreams. Features include:

  • Individual Control Management - Users are no longer limited by simple graphical interfaces at the DSP block level. daVinci's revolutionary feature set enables users to create graphic interfaces at the control level, affording an increased level of specificity and control.
  • Superior Scaling - Vector based graphics give daVinci users the ability to scale images to meet any desired size.
  • Control Customization - With the ability to customize the graphic look of controls and screens using any electronic visual or clip art, daVinci users will never again have to settle for lackluster GUIs.
  • Added Flexibility -daVinci will provide users with the choice of controlling one system using multiple computers.

daVinci also provides users with the ability to link and gang controls and set password security levels, making the Audia and Nexia digital signal processors some of the most flexible and powerful networked DSP systems available today.

Helpful Hints

Audio signal processing, sometimes referred to as audio processing, is the processing of a representation of auditory signals, or sound. The representation can be digital or analog. An analog representation is usually electrical; a voltage level represents the air pressure waveform of the sound. Similarly, a digital representation expresses the pressure wave-form as a sequence of symbols, usually binary numbers.
