Leading Edge Intercom by Aiphone

Aiphone has again shown their commitment to innovation in design and production of leading edge intercom products with the release of the new Aiphone JA series colour video intercom.

The JA series features the same hands-free feature that has made the Aiphone JB series a world market leader, but with the addition of the ability to remotely control the pan and tilt of the door station camera from the video monitors.

Aiphone introduced this feature to the industry over a decade ago when they released the world’s first pan/tilt b&w video intercom in the 80’s. The tradition of market firsts continues with the release of this colour pan/tilt video intercom.

The JA series features a 100mm colour LCD TFT display that produces crisp and true colour video pictures with the added freedom of hands-free communications not only at the door station but at all internal monitor stations.

Up to two pan/tilt video door stations can be connected to a total of three internal monitors. Currently a surface mount pan/tilt door station is available with a semi flush mount model soon to be released in Australia. The Aiphone JB series door stations can also be used with the JA series if required.

The Aiphone JA series also has the ability to connect two remote CCTV type cameras with the addition of JAWAZ camera adaptors enabling the Aiphone JA series to form the hub of a self contained access and security system for residential and commercial use.

An additional optional feature is an built-in digital picture memory unit incorporated into the JA2MECD master monitor. This has the same functions as the Aiphone KC32EU digital picture memory unit with the added benefit that it records the images from both video door stations.

Helpful Hints

Audio signal processing, sometimes referred to as audio processing, is the processing of a representation of auditory signals, or sound. The representation can be digital or analog. An analog representation is usually electrical; a voltage level represents the air pressure waveform of the sound. Similarly, a digital representation expresses the pressure wave-form as a sequence of symbols, usually binary numbers.
