AKG Acoustics Receives Two MIPA 2005 (MusikMesse International Press Award)
58 international audio magazines honoured AKG for its efforts with two of the highly prestigious m.i.p.a.’s (MusikMesse International Press Award). In the category “Live Microphone” the jury voted for AKG’s high-end wireless microphone system WMS 4000 (other nominees: Sennheiser Evolution G2 and Shure SLX).
Winner of the category “Studio Microphone” is the AKG C 414 B-XLII (also nominated: Neumann M149, Schoeps CMD 2U). Introduced in 2004, the C 414 B-XLII combines the legendary C 414 sound with 15 new features and performance improvements. In 2004 the C 414 B-XLII together with the C 414 B-XLS already received another prestigious award: “The Cool Stuff” Award, granted by Radio World/IMAS.
