Peavey - In a world of emulation, the Valve Amp is king
Peavey proudly introduces the Valve King Series, a new, all-tube guitar amp line combining boutique features and hot-rodded tones with legendary Peavey reliability. Valve King amp series will feature a 100 Watt head, a 100 Watt 212 combo and a 50 Watt 112 combo. The Valve King 112 is now available from authorised Peavey dealers at an RRP of $995.
Peavey Valve King amps feature a patent-pending, variable Class A/B control called Texture™, the first and only amp control to allow sweepable selection between Class A and Class B power structures, as well as any combination of the two. With this exclusive feature, guitarists can coax virtually any tone from this tweaked-out amplifier. The amp's preamp and power sections are powered by 6L6GC and 12AX7 tubes, respectively, and drive specially voiced 12" Valve King loudspeakers (112 and 212 versions only).

Single coil Pick-Up
Single coil pick-ups consist of six magnets (one under each string) which are surrounded by one continuous coil of wire. Single coils are excellent for thinner more percussive styles of playing. Single coils are also susceptible to 50-60 cycle hum which can be a problem if using a high gain setting on an amplifier.
Sound Reinforcement
Traditionally this term was used for exactly what it states, i.e. the amplification of audio signals in a "live" situation, be that a sound system for a live concert or a theatre of any sort, or a Public Announcement type system etc. In the last few decades the usage of the term has expanded to include most sound installations both permanent and portable, and in practice covers almost any type of sound system installation except those used in homes and recording studios.
